When I received this, I initially thought I received the wrong item. This isn't a "tree skirt" -- it's just a big rug. Rereading the description, I see that it does also use the word "rug", and it's "recommended" to buy two -- because it's not a tree skirt, so to cover the whole way around the tree, you would need two. But I didn't have time to buy another one and CERTAINLY was not going to spend another $150. So I had the choice of just wrapping it around the base of the tree or cutting a hole from one side to the middle. I decided that since the tree would barely be viewed on one side, it would be fine to just wrap it around. It did look beautiful from the front, and I think the volume that resulted from having to bunch it around the bottom of the tree was nice, but it's not a "tree skirt" -- it's a rug.
